Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Placeholder notice: this policy is a working draft, not final legal copy. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be checked against the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (and GDPR/CCPA if you serve those regions) before this site goes live publicly.

Who this applies to

This policy covers personal information collected through thelo (ABN: 83 573 991 178), operated by Christian, at www.thelo.au, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you use the free assessment form or contact us, we collect what you submit: your name, business name, email, phone number (optional), and your answers about your business and its operations. If you make a purchase, Stripe collects your payment details directly — we never see or store your card number.

We also automatically collect basic technical information when you browse the site — your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit — through the visitor analytics described under "Cookies and website analytics" below.

How we use it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below, solely to operate this site.

Cookies and website analytics

We use Apollo.io's website visitor tracking to understand which businesses visit this site and which pages they look at. It sets cookies and collects technical data — including your IP address, browser, and the pages you view — and may match that visit to business contact details held in Apollo's database. We use this to see which businesses are interested in our services and to follow up. It has no effect on the assessment form or the booking widget, which work either way.

The Cal.com booking widget, when you interact with it, may also set its own cookies to manage the scheduling session — that's controlled by Cal.com, not by us. You can review Cal.com's own privacy and cookie policy on their site.

Third-party services

Marketing emails

The results email you get after submitting the assessment form is sent because you asked for it, and includes a way to opt out of further contact. We don't add you to an ongoing marketing list — any follow-up from us is one-to-one, tied to your enquiry, in line with the Spam Act 2003.

How long we keep it

We keep assessment submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry or deliver a purchased service, or until you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time by emailing [email protected]. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
